blake took a header into the edge of wynden & jayme's stone fireplace on sunday.... it was like it happened in slow motion, he tripped and went flying head first (i think i covered my eyes) i thought for sure he would knock out a tooth, break his nose, or at the very least there would be blood. we got LUCKY! darin was closest, so he grabbed him and put his hand over blake's head, so then i thought FOR SURE there was blood, but fortunately there wasn't, just a huge indent and an enormous goose egg starting to form. we were able to convince him to ice it for a while, and made sure he didn't have a concussion... mostly there was just a LOT of crying. good thing he's got that hard holman head!

i was surprised there wasn't more of a bruise, you can't even see it very well in the picture!

on another exciting note about blake, he's been dry for a while wearing his pull-up at night, so the last 2 nights we've had him just wear underware, and he's been dry! so hopefully this means no more pull-ups! what a big boy! (it might have something to do with the fact that we let him have a popsicle in the morning if he's dry.... hey, whatever works!)
